My all time favorite "fast food" is GRAVEL. Gravel changed my life, or at least changed the amount of time it takes to prepare a meal. If you are one that buys a pack of ground beef and then puts it in the freezer; stop! Buy a 5 pound chub and fry it all up with or without onions. Drain the beef in a colander and spray with hot water so the fat is gone.
Dump the beef onto two cookie sheets, spread it out nice and stick in the freezer for a couple of hours. Don't forget it's there. When well frozen, crumble up your nice practically fat free "gravel" and pack into pint size freezer bags. Voila, fantastico! You can now put a dinner together in lightening speed No waiting on defrosting and cooking the meat.
I use gravel to make spaghetti, lasagne, taco soup, beef and barley soup, tacos, sloppy joes, chili...the possibilities are endless when you have a gravel pit to dig from.
